Chellie Baygents Obituary (1944

Chellie Curb Kirk Baygents, 90 years old, died on July 6, 2015 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 10th at the Greensboro Baptist Church with Pastor Bobby DuBois officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery with Kirk Funeral Home directing. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Leo E. Kirk and second husband, James V. Baygents; her parents, four brothers and three sisters. Survivors include her son, David Kirk of Bessemer, AL and daughter, Miriam Shelton of Kellyville, OK; step-son, Darryl Baygents of Denver, NC and step- daughter, Linda Phagan of Hawkinsville, GA; nine grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. Mrs. Baygents spent the majority of her life in Greensboro, graduating from Greensboro High School in the Class of 1944. Pallbearers will be nephews and grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of her Greensboro Baptist Sunday School Class. The family wishes to thank Grace Hospice and Clarehouse who lovingly cared for her while in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to the Greensboro Baptist Church or a charity of your choice.
