Cherlyn Diana Blanton Obituary (1948

Cherlyn Diana "Danky" Blanton, 72 of Marion, AL went to her eternal home on September 14, 2021. She was born on December 2, 1948 in Centreville, AL to Frederick Howard Davis and Robena Belcher Davis. She was a school teacher at West Jasper Elementary School in Jasper, AL for many years. She was also a talented artist and played piano at Marion United Methodist Church. She is predeceased by her parents; her husband, Alton Lee Blanton; and her brother, Scott Davis. She is survived by her son, Alton Davis Blanton (Chapman); her sisters: Martha Kay McRae, Donna Baird, and Sharon Register; her brothers: Freddie Davis and Todd Davis; and two grandchildren: Joshua Davis Blanton and Abbie James Weldon Blanton. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 11:30 am at Pine Crest Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Marion with Kirk Funeral Homes, Marion Chapel directing.
