Marlin Ellis Faught Jr. 80, of Greensboro, passed away Thursday October 3, 2019, at Hale County Hospital. Services will be held Saturday October 5, 2019, at 3 p.m. from Greensboro Baptist Church with Rev. Dee McGuire officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Greensboro Chapel directing. Burial will follow in Greensboro Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. He was born May 5, 1939, in Jasper, to Marlin Ellis and Agnes Blanton Faught. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Wayne Faught. Surviving Ellis is his wife, Viva Dean Barnette Faught; daughter, Shannon Faught Johnson (Ronnie) of Carrollton, Ga.; son, Clay Ellis Faught (Stacy) of Northport; grandchildren, Hannah Marie Johnson, Carter Edward Johnson, Landon Everett Johnson, Austin Barnette Faught, and Emily Adams Faught.
