Michael Lee Downing Obituary (1954

Michael Lee Downing 64, of Marion, passed away July 3, 2019, at the Bibb Medical Center. A graveside service will be held Saturday July 6, 2019, at 2:30 p.m. from Marion Cemetery with Rev. John Nicholson Officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Marion Chapel directing. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 pm at the Funeral Home. Mike was born September 3, 1954, in Marion, to Helen Moore Downing. He was preceded in death by his mother. Surviving Michael is his wife, Sherry Sigler Downing: daughters, Angela Holifield (Jesse) and Kaylee Guthrie (John); son, Michael Justin Downing (Lisa); sister, Donna Holifield (Ben); grandchildren, Connor Downing, Ryleigh Downing, Sherry Beth Holifield, and Jacob Holifield. Pallbearers will be Claude Anderson, Ben Holifield, Jesse Holifield, Bruce Stone, Jerry Sigler, and Heath Holifield. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to American Heart Association.
