Oneida Caddis Binion Obituary (1926

Oneida Caddis Binion, 95 of Eutaw, AL went to her eternal home on August 30, 2021. She was born on July 24, 1926 in Tuscaloosa County, AL to Thomas Eldridge Caddis and Lou Alma Hobson Caddis. Oneida and her husband, Curtis owned and operated Binions Gifts in downtown Eutaw for over 65 years. During that time, they met numerous customers that became life long friends. She was very close to her family, and at 95, she would still text them everyday. B.B. girl will be deeply missed by all. She deeply loved and was extremely proud of her family. She is predeceased by her parents; her husband, William Curtis Binion; her daughter Sheila Elizabeth Binion, as well as her 12 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter Jayne Binion Colgrove (Joel) . She is also survived by her grandchildren: Joel McLemore Colgrove, Jr. (Kristen) and Kurtis McCillian Colgrove (Mary Glynn); and her great-grandchildren: Madalyn Miller Colgrove, Blakley Colgrove Simoneaux (Chet), Colton McLemore Colgrove, Peyton Kurtis Colgrove, and Kaleb Moseley Colgrove. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 11:00 am at Mesopotamia Cemetery in Eutaw with Rev. Gene Dockery officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes, Demopolis Chapel directing. Pallbearers will be: Joel McLemore Colgrove, Jr., Kurtis McCillian Colgrove, Peyton Kurtis Colgrove, Kaleb Moseley Colgrove, Colton McLemore Colgrove, Steven West Cowart, and Chet Austin Simoneaux. Special thanks to her caregivers: Olivia Hall, Brenda Allen, Mattie Strode, Sheila Maghee, Kay Williams, and Eula Travis. In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to: Eutaw Baptist Church, and Comfort Care Hospice of Demopolis.
